How many km's has your car got on it brian?

It had around 25k on the clock with the old motor (which I still have as a spare).

New motor has less than 2k, I'd expect..

The rest of the car is basically new, as every major mechanical component of the car has been upgraded.

Tis quite incredible Brian how long you've owned the car without having driven it

it is and it isnt, Brians blessed in that he has a few fast cars to keep him happy and free storage at Nizpro with them using his car as an R&D exercise for the rest of us. From what ive seen Its well worth the wait. Least the rest of the car cant get worn out  Im hanging to hear Brians thoughts once he driven the beast with edit V Motec

any chance of an update brian ?

Sorry, not much to report; I spoke to Simon on Thursday.

Pressure is on Simon to have the car ready for the July BVW2 weekend, in 4 weeks time.

He believes the new CVs should be in the car by then.

The clutch is not very user friendly (I.e too much shudder), and needs to come out for inspection.

Nizpro Dave has been busy holidaying around Europe for 5 weeks (how he ever got time off now is a mystery), so Simon has had little time for my car over the past 3 weeks, and wanted both he and Dave to been involved in the tuning.

So Brian,

When you say ready for BVMK11, is that it, or is there still more to do?

I won't be driving the car back to Sydney that weekend, as I'll have my Sti.

There are no more known mechanical changes planned at this stage.

It still remains to be seen if the Edit can support the boost levels that I want, as I believe we're still restricted to around 23lb max boost, and if so that'll hold us back. There are other issues with regard to the Edit that Simon is addressing.

Obviously the CVs will need some sort of testing, and that would include pulling them out again to inspect for cracks.

Brian

You should not have any issues with the Edit supporting 23+psi boost levels!!!

It was effectivly handling 26-27psi in my car on the race tune. I was also running an E-Boost controller though and this is what you should be looking in to.

Are you running a boost controller?

All the best anyway cant wait for that drive you promised me when you get your beast back.

Keep us posted

Regards

Spiro
