An update:

Car was started last week, after some effort re-establishing wiring connections with wires that had been cut because of the Motec install.

Motec is now removed, and Edit installed.

Initial testing is without cam control and using the small Nizpro drilled injectors.

It makes 350rwkw at 7lb boost, and 480rwkw at 17lb currently, and that has been without much tuning effort.

Independent variable cam timing work is still in progress, and I won’t comment on current issues in that matter, as they are being addressed now.

Big injectors will be installed next week, then boost will be further increased and we’ll see how well the Edit copes with higher boost.

The starting and idle problems associated with the Motec have gone, which is very good news…. Another 2 weeks???

Geez Brian. How can the thing make that much power at only 7psi !! :fool:

Or 17psi for that matter!!

Crikey.

Pretty big turbo, with big compressor compared to stock to flow more air, very good exhaust flow out of extractors and larger exhaust housing, plus motor blueprinted and well put together.

Note that this motor uses lower compression, around 8.3 to 1, instead of 8.7 to 1, which means it's actually a better result than it appears. I.e 17psi is probably closer to an effective 15.5lb boost with standard compression.

Hello...

Straight onto the T56. What happened to waiting and saving a bit?

I've been offered a deal that I can't (and won't) refuse...
