Well done Brian your posts are always awesome, so in-lighting and educational, not to mention very well written.

By comparison, Simon has now put a 6-speed manual in his work Ute, which is running the Stage 4 Nizpro hardware (including bigger cams and turbo), for around 450rwkw …. fully run with Edit …. starting and idle control is fantastic by comparison, as he demonstrated to me

I too have been for a run in Simon's ute with the current set up and MY GOD... what an unbelievable car, it pulls like a 14yo school boy. He demonstrated to me how his car can go at 40kmh in 6th (manual) and pull away cleanly consistently... any gear, any time... I was just blown away by his car. I only got the chance to look at your car Brian and had the if only's about my car...

Good luck with getting everything you want out of it...

I think 1000 to 1200 nm is a severe understatement I have 1040nm at the wheels your car sounds unreal wish we could see some gear like that up here

Kent I'd rethink your Nm figure ifn I were you, before it gets noticed by the NON-BELIEVERS

Kent I think that would be an ATW figure from your dyno graph, if so then that's been multiplied by the gear and diff ratio.

Brian's figures would be from the flywheel.

Before Xmas we decided to dump the Motec on my car, and will be proceeding with the Edit product only. I have some special requirements, and as such new Edit tuning developments will commence early 2006, and Nizpro will continue to stay ahead of the rest of the mob.

Brian

Can't wait to see the edit development being pushed in to new territory.

Anything new to report Brian?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Simon is going to test out a BF version pcm, transplanted into the BA, so that will be interesting. Jan & Feb Simon is very committed with tuning Tassie rally cars, plus has a lot of Ford work atm, so he doesn't have a lot of time for Ford R&D these 2 months.

I'm way too busy with work commitments atm, so it's low priority.

Anyway, I've just picked up a new Sti, plus started another project on my old STi to make it a super quick car (target around 300awkw).

If I wait long enough with the Ford maybe someone will develop a very strong 6-speed auto.
