External wastegate is used for boost control. There is a massive air filter hidden under the guard, to get cold air, and 5" inlet pipe to the turbo.Brian<{POST_SNAPBACK}>All that beautifull pipe work makes the turbo look all wussy and small. I doubt I need to though.Brian

Has the sound barrier been broken by a land based vehicle yet?More like, when I fit my Kevlar Armour to stop my kidneys punching a hole through my back whilst under heavy acceleration......... That car looks...well...sex AND it's blueprint :o What would be the man hours on a manifold like that? 40? 50? Masterpiece, whoever did that should also become a metal sculptor!Gotta get a ride in that one day Cheers,Lumpy

FPV GTHO Member 118 Member For: 20y 4m 17d Posted 11/04/05 06:02 AM Share Posted 11/04/05 06:02 AM Maybe a BA Supercar aero kit will help for a top speed run hehe.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>It'd add about 200kg of downforce overall, but where would you pick one up?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard. Ford would probably help out to get some publicity out of it <{POST_SNAPBACK}>They'd be a place to start, or start ringing up the likes of FPR, SBR, BJR, DJR etc. and see if theyre willing to part way with a kit. Ford do design the kits for all of their teams though alfterall.

BANG ...... the CVs exploded. This was the one that wasn't replaced 4 months ago. Will replace this one, then time for a full expensive rear-end rebuild, but probably not until I get back to Sydney. We'll re-assess the situation, then decide whether it's prudent to take the car down the 1/4 until this is completed.I had always expected that the rear-end would need strengthening, and possibly the tailshaft.Brian

I'll talk to him tomorrow, as there are a number of other things I'm looking at doing with the car, as well as something new for manual drivers that Nizpro are working on at the moment (can't reveal yet). He did say he reckoned that you could get wheelspin in 4th at 200kph, but I don't know if he was serious or not! From what Robin said 2 days ago, when he saw the dyno graph, the power was still increasing at over 7000 revs.Brian
