I have forgotten.Edit: I read in your sig 12.3... Is that still the current best time? How is your car up top end from a roll?

Stock STi max 112kw at 145kph, and 3100N at 110kph. Now it's 232kw at 135kph, and 6800N at 110kph. Note: these power figures are AT ALL 4 WHEELS, and car only weighs 1260kw.So, maximum power is made at fewer revs, and maximum torque at same revs as the original 2 litre Sti. At the point of maximum power I'm running 20lb boost, down from the max boost of 22lb at 105kph (4000revs). Lower in the revs, at just 80kph in 4th: Stock STi had 36kw and 1700N tractive effort New 2.5L has 77kw and 3400N tractive effort So low down torque starts from a higher base, making driving far easier in the 2.5L. The tractive effort at this low revs is more than the stock STi made at it's peak. At 100kph in 4th: Stock STi had 84kw and 3000N tractive effort New 2.5L has 162kw and 5200N tractive effort So new power hits very hard between 80kph and 100kph (3000 to 3800 revs). I don't know how much the dyno calibration has changed since then, and whether or not the runs are comparable. Note that the turbo I have is actually a bit too small; it makes for a great street car.I could use a larger turbo and probably get 300rwkw if my objective was drag racing. There’s still plenty of potential.I’ve only run it once at the drags, did a 12.3 (Geea did 12.2) on a very hot night; I was running 37lb pressure in the tyres. On a cooler night around 11.7 is likely. When I drive my wifes my03 rex (similar performance to a stock Ford) it feels like a slug. The STi will pull 4th gear from 1000 revs; low down torque is unbelievable good.Launching, it's easy to spin all 4 wheels.Check out the dyno graph below. And the handling; just fantastic. Guest xrtwpn Guests Posted 23/03/05 09:28 PM Share Posted 23/03/05 09:28 PM BrianThat is an impressive dyno graph power comes on really hard. Most of the graphs I have seen on here from the xr6 turbos look really lazy and die top end with boost dropping away and the top end of the power run goes flatWhen I get my car is back on the road ill post some graphs of the way the power climbs in my xr6t it's very similar to your STI with no flat line at the top or boost dropping away

I guarantee that there are no clutch issues. There might have been issues with the apprentice who fitted it incorrectly last time and damaged it, (as can happen when anything mechanical is incorrectly fitted). As the unit in question had an unconditional warranty, I am sure we would have heard if there was a problem. Ben.

Hopefully I'll have some even bigger numbers after lunch."Note: This is using 5th gear, as his dyno has trouble holding the torque in 4th gear.Brian
