What exactly is being done?Yeah mate im still doing some 'shopping around' but you are looking around $800-$1200 with a Transcooler, without a stall converter. Depends how far you like to go. Best to go to a place who has worked on a T b4 and proven the results, so your not a ginne pig!!! Rob...There does not seem to be many places that are experienced in the T boxes. I know Kewish autos did Craigs (Next door to HPF) and they seemed to be the only ones who knew their stuff when Geea dropped his car off there. This will hopefully give us around 300 Flywheel KW, and save a heap of money, until I can afford all the other mods :(YesDo a cheap 2nd CAI, filter, and changed your Auto box oil when you do a service to keep it fresh. Deans ute however, was done by some Preston Auto place for $1200 including the stall converter. His ute is something along the 330rwkw mark I think and still going strong... only problem he had was the stall converter was shutting down his Unichip, I think its all working fine now.Rob... Guest mercurysteve Guests Posted 21/03/05 05:46 AM Share Posted 21/03/05 05:46 AM Thanks guys, some really useful stuff posted and much appreciated. Sounds like I'll be pulling my head in after the Edit, when I spoke with Rob at the HPF he said with full exhaust, second air intake, B&C filter anb EDIT that I would be pulling 250-275rwkw ish. So any more than anywhere in that scale would mean more $$$$ on the box. Any interesting side topic may be;Is the bang for your buck there afer these mods . Sure springs aren't too expensive, in fact most other mods after this stage aren't expensive in isolation, but collectively it leaves me a bit in terms of total spend Vs the Return (rwkw).Any other thoughts on this? I am keen to hear from the 330rwkw plus players. Are the cars running these numbers really just soooo much better than say a 265rwkw car or not? Thanks! Thanks!Mate 265rwkw is a fair bit, you sometimes need to take a step back and have to put things into perspective. From my perspective 300rwkw on the streets (400+HP) is a bloody lot of grunt. The guys like Geea, race regularly and yes run over 330, however you will find some of the cars are not always on the road and some run De-tuned maps when on the street.Personally I would see how you go with 265rkw, as once you have a couple of unexpected experiences you will come to appreciate the power you have.Trust me 300rwkw in the wet is like walking through a minefield with bare feet, you tippytoe everywhere. Not forgetting to factor in who else will be driving your car, wife etc?.................. Guest mercurysteve Guests Posted 21/03/05 06:01 AM Share Posted 21/03/05 06:01 AM good points JB and thanks mate.I think (even at this stage) that I will stay with whatever power I have after the Edit (I am waiting for the chorus from you all of "bullsh*t", give it a few weeks and then..) but seriously, like you pointed out, stepping out here and there and driving in the wet can be fun, but...at the end of the day I also want a bulletproof daily driver that smokes most things coming my way, 265rwkw should look after that I think. Cheers and thanks dude Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/16483-auto-how-many-rwkw-until-car-boom/page/2/#findComment-233800 Share on other sites
