What Made You Buy A T

I was just thinking about the reason behind buying my XR6T.

I didn't need a 4 door family car, I dont have kids, I very rarely have more than 2 people in it. so what makes you buy such a big car. well for me its because I was brought up on Fords, my dad had fords ever since I was a todler. blue XY ute, RED famont ghia 351, and a worked famont ghia ESP. thinking with my head and not my heart I would have gotten a monaro, they are nice. Only one problem. ITS A BLOODY HOLDEN. yep im that brain washed and closed minded, I could never own a Holden.

I seeing the news TURBO FALCON went whoah and at the time I only just purchased my share of the company. CAR = TAX WRITE OFF. couldnt off come at a better time I just had to have one.

Sorry just babling after a few wines after dinner reminising about a car a wont own much longer

Apart from the convenience of having a big 4 door car and being a Ford man through and through, I would have to say the bang for your buck. Extremely good value in anyone's book

I needed a fast 4 door that was under 70k.

The T was the best choice But I was close to getting a EVO8

I wanted a turbo car, becasue wrx's cost too much to insure and I didnt want a skyline I was going to do an sr20det conversion on my SSS pulsar, just as I had saved the money I cought wind of the xr6 turbo that will be part of the new falcon range, I waited till it came out, loved the look straight away and bought one with only having driven the non turbo version, although its no more fun to drive then my SSS was, it is a damn site more comfortable and much much sexier.

I didnt need space so much as practicality. Its got to be able to carry 4 adults plus stuff like doors etc. ( Every 6 months I do a bit more to the house and changing doors has been the latest project. )

The 2nd criteria was more power than my AU XR6.

3rd criteria was not a Holden.

4th criteria was mid $40's on the road.

Pretty easy decision.

had a ba xr8 before it was to slow and the turbo at the time, was easy to upgrade more bang for buck.

Spent more time trying to get things sorted out with the car im almost there and bring on the mods.

Comfort ,Style and performance were the main factors and the price tag for I got my beast for $32500 private sale .Only draw back was 50000 on the clock. .The new F6typhoon has the same speed as the GTs now

XR8's weren't available at the time.

Background - I used to be *really* into American cars (camaros, firebirds, corvettes) but after owning a chev camaro for a while I just got sick of it. American cars in Australia look great but are very impractical and sh*t. This camaro had a very very heavy clutch (botched conversion to RHD).

Anyway, the point is that I wanted a fast auto and from what I heard n read the XR6T exactly what I wanted AND it was practical and comfortable unlike my previous car.

No other car out there has a fast auto other than the SS or SV8 but they simply arent as good as the XR6T.
