Guest StaggerLee Guests Posted 14/04/03 07:22 AM Share Posted 14/04/03 07:22 AM The guys at motor mag are a bit like that.... there probably so used to driving Avalons that when they get in a real car they don't know how to use it! :spinaround: Regardless, the car does sound bloody awesome, when you can hear it over the tyres screeching! What do you guys who have a manual XR6T think of it. Series 2 should come with a XR8 5 Speed and 250KW and weigh a little less and it will win PCOTY NO DOUBT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Robbo Member 249 Member For: 22y 17d Location: Sydney Posted 14/04/03 12:18 PM Share Posted 14/04/03 12:18 PM I have owned manuals all my life and really can't see what the problem is with the 5 speed. I believe it all depends on what you are used to and how you are used to driving.I prefer driving a manual car and wouldn't get an auto based on someone telling me the manual was no good. So in the end, you really have to test drive the manual yourself and not rely on someone elses opinion .... IMHO

Redhawk ....Time to lay this fairytale aside...... Donating Members 2,657 Member For: 21y 9m 8d Gender: Male Location: In the Ferry on the River Styx, not getting out just yet! Posted 15/04/03 12:38 AM Share Posted 15/04/03 12:38 AM My EL XR6 was an auto and regretted getting it from day one. There is nothing wrong with the BA manual that I can notice. For the first week third was a bit hard to slip in but now........Sweet . Only problem I have now is hitting the rev limiter in 2nd :D (occasionally)Problem with the Motor guys is they are comparing this car against rides in the >$150k bracket, and for it to come 3rd is testement to its awsomeness Wait till Best Bang For Your Buck comes out
