The 50" Panasonic does not have DVI, the 50" LG does. The Panasonic may offer a slightly better PQ than the LG BUT is the DVI connection going to hand the PQ advantage back to the LG? DVI is a difgital connection with some big claims made for the picture improvement it offers. l like the built in HD tuner in the LG too, one less box and remote is handy which adds to its appeal. Its PQ to my eyes is excellent, what would you do?Help please!!

This will also allow you to use it as a 50" computer monitor aswell if you wish DVI will also be the connection for the blue ray systems about to hit the market to take over DVD. But when I saw the two right next to eachother (this JVC I saw didnt' have a blown pixel) the LG looked so much brighter and better quality than the JVC. The JVC had contrast adjusted to the top setting and it was still nowhere near as good as the LG on 3/4 setting. That made my mind up.

But, I have heard it is a very big improvement (no conversions etc.), and I will be in the market for a quality DVD player in a few months. I would lean towards the one with DVI. (Thanks for the great offer JB )l stumbled across a great deal the other day while seeing what was available on where else, but Ebay!. Found someone who is selling a 2 week old 50" Pioneer Plasma with stand, speakers, couple of pairs of monster component cables and a Panasonic HD setop box. We negotiated $7 grand for the lot so he pulled the auction before anyone bid.Off to the big smoke on Thursday to pick it up and checkout the Audio show in Melbourne. lf anyone else here is going let me know, maybe we can meet up?Zeke, l saw the light in the end Cheers Simon

If there isn't a catch to the deal (and I'm sure you would've checked out all the details of why he is selling after 2 weeks) I'm sure you'll be very happy with the Pioneer 50". Hope you're not intending to take it home with you in the Subie!?I'm going to fly over to Melbourne on Friday to have a look at the show....just decided tonite after seeing that there are still reasonably cheap airfares available. Anyone else going on Friday?
