Name: Trevor

Age: 54

Game: Selling "PEKI" Refrigerated Semi-Trailers.

Married: Yep, 33 big ones.

Still got 98 octane in the blood and still luv to turn a bit of opposite lock.

Can't quite keep up with my WRX booted son but he also just loves the big T and its potential.

Anyone looking for one of the countrys best drives, gotta try this:

The Gillies Range. From Gordonvale (Sth of Cairns) to Malanda. The road is a massive series of left right bends with at least 130 consecutive left rights and progably over 200 altogether.

Great fun if you try to not cross the lines and no real need to exceed the limit.???

Up or down are both fun and challenging.

Done it many times in ordinary stuff but can't wait to send the T up and back.

Anyone else know this bit of bituman?

Naaa,

They're all good ones now.

The Chief even likes to go for snappy drives on twisting roads.

Just get into strife from the Daughter-in-law for passing on the blood octane rating to the son!!

Hey, anbody out there older than me punting hard in a T?

macktheknife .. that's one mean drive! Not much fun if your passengers get car sick though, and a real go-slow when it's wet, as you obviously would know.. but beautiful scenic views, swimming holes at the bottom, AND a great pub as well!

Betcha can't wait to drive your T up & down!! It's even more fun on a bike!

bat,

Too late for me to start thinking about 2 wheels but I can imagine it would be great.

Yep, had a passenger get sick on me last visit to Cairns. Spoilt the fun.

Going up again next week but alas, I will be in a renter.

Planning a drive trip from Brisvegas later this year.

Name : Peter

Age : 41 :nugget:

Job : IT Solution Architect (20 years in IT, another geek...)

Wife, 2 kids and a Jack Russell Terrier so I've got the Aussie average of 2.6 kids :)

I've never been a petrol head but I assume I'm having an early mid-life crisis. I've always had company cars (falcon or commodore) apart from 3 years where I leased a Mazda 626 with the MX-6 V6 engine. A nice little motor. Traded the wife's Nissan Patrol 18 Months ago on another Mazda (SP20) as we had finished with the 4WD phase. Now my AUII is going and I have to replace it myself. I was looking at the WRX but it's a wee bit small, so I started looking at the commodore & falcon again.

I have to admit BOTH current family cars are way above what they used to be in every aspect. so it's XR6 time...
