I work in the Control Room of an Alumina Refinery.  Sitting in front of a bank of computer screens (think Homer Simpson's job), talking on a 2-way radio to the guys in the field.  If I didn't smoke, I wouldn't see the sun on Day Shift.

Too much stress, but I get to 'drive it off' after work.

I manage a pizza shop.  It's pretty fun and our bonus system is kickass.  Plus being the head honcho I can pretty much make up my own hours.

Dunno what he's whinging about then, wish I could get a toy bird to do parts of my job, but I fear the huge pile of pizzas falling off the end of the oven will get a little hard to walk around.

I'm a Consulting Network Engineer working for a small firm, but currently on an 18 month "permanent placement" with one of our customers, providing Level 3 and 4 expertise in-house for them. Unfortunately, they try and get me to dabble in Systems as well, as I have previous Unix and *cough* Windows sk1llz.

The firm I work for has built large (ie. 500+ site) WANs for our customers; my boss and I look after the whole shebang, from design to implementation and monitoring (in conjunction with our technology partners). We even wrote the monitoring software

My last job was combo systems/network administration, looking after the entire Tassie network for a national Top 10 ISP. Not much of a change, except now I have a life, get to sleep occasionally and get paid twice as much for half the work (yes, ISPs really do pay that badly...)
