Now I would like some honest opinions only from people who know what is the best mod to do to the T's exhaust,as I would like to achive approx 260 rwkw on 95 ron premium with auto trans, cai,uni chip and drilled injectors. My opinion for what it is worth was to do 3.5 inch from the cast dump into some sort of free flowing cat (anyone know of one) then into the original twin pipes, and yes I know how to use the search but want some opinions not dribble

smb dump/cat replacement. for 260 rwkw, don't bother with anything after the cat.

my opinion, and it's what I'm going to do.

The stock exhaust system is very good for a factory exhaust. Your 2 man restrictions are the Cat then the centre muffler.

The stock system can handle up to 300rwkw sometimes more dependant on set up.

I ran mine with the the Cat out only, with 294rwkw no problems.

The dump pipe mod is only really neccessary after 300rwkw. A good Cat, and system back from there will easily meet your requirements, there are many with 320+rwkw still running the factory dump pipe. :spit:

Do a search as one of the members did alot of research into this with dyno's before and after different exhaust mods, it was very useful, as sometimes if you do not do the right combination you can go backwards as proven.

Too true.........do a search on some of my previous posts TTJET, I posted up dyno sheets of the car std and then at each stage as I changed the exhaust system.......I think from memory there was 5 setups.

If you want anymore info, please feel free to PM me and ill see what I can dig up for you.

may pay to be careful.

I went 3" cat and 3" madrel all the way to the chrome tip with only a hot dog and one rear muffler (the rest is 3" pipe). Lost down low punch, when it spools up, goes a bit better. For everyday down low, the original set up was better :spoton:

I was quoted $650 for 3 inch pipe from Dump to cat, 3 inch CAT (Xforce) then 3 inch pipe from CAT to centre muffler. it was all stainless steel. I want to retain the centre and rear muffler for the quite sound. is this price too much ?
