I've been perusing these hallowed pages for some time now and there is an over represented number of not happy owners out there. Now I appreciate that basically the most vocal are obviously people that are not happy, and that happy owner's rarely actually voice that fact. As I currently own a VT I 5.0 SS and am seriously considering an XR6T in July, I would like people who have had little if any problems post that fact so I can get a feel for it.Currently the major problems appear to be Brakes/Paint/engine cutouts/engine pipes. Little plastic clips and bits bits falling off are bound to happen as long as they're isolated, and I would consider them annoying, but minor.Come on guys let's hear form HAPPY owners, surely (I hope) you guys out number those that are aren'tCheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/1633-can-we-hear-from-happy-owners/ Share on other sites

I know for one that I am.. Its just been the tiny few problems that we have experienced that have been brought to attention on these forums to benefit and point out these issues to members.. I personally think the car is a fantastic car, and im proud to own one! I wouldnt have created the forums if i didnt feel this way! Lifetime Members 306 Member For: 22y 1m 28d Gender: Male Location: Geelong Posted 13/04/03 10:23 AM Share Posted 13/04/03 10:23 AM I couldn't be happier with my NA XR6 sedan! I have done almost 10,000kms and never had a major problem. It's been back to the dealer about 3 times but only that many because some of the trim peices that were ordered were not up to scratch! Its a fantastic car in many ways. I dont have the turbo but its still great fun through the twisty stuff and the turbo has the same suspension setup as mine so you cant go wrong. On these forums you find that everyone likes to let people know the problems that they have come across and as some say, this is the first model so there is bound to be problems. This is a great car and will only get better with each one produced.Go on get rid of the old Expensive Daewoo and buy the turbo. you wont regret it I'm sure. Great ride and handling, no bad rear tyre wear (unless you count burnouts ) Better looks than previous falcons. Better in everyway compared to the VY I drove the other day. HellionXR6T I'm Back!! Thats right, long over due! :) Lifetime Members 4,348 Member For: 22y 5m 20d Gender: Male Location: West Brisbane Posted 13/04/03 10:41 AM Share Posted 13/04/03 10:41 AM Overall I'm happy although I'm one of the ones that tend to whinge a lot. If I wasn't experiencing these little 'series I' troubles, I'd love the car a whole lot more but through it all, my dealer have been pretty good. If there is a problem, it gets fixed, no questions asked.Coming up to the 7,000 mark and am dropping the oil half way through the week. 15,000 will be the last of the mineral oil, changing to synthetic at that point.....So far she has been ran in nicely, she's not a 'Turbo' but hell. I'm still impressed with the Barra 182. A straight 6 that is more powerful than the AU Series I XR8 that is incredibly responsive, yeah baby!!!I may have said on the odd occasion that I miss the AU III VCT but realistically, you cannot compare the way the BA handles and performs to the AU we had. So yeah, count it as a positive dude. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/1633-can-we-hear-from-happy-owners/#findComment-17234 Share on other sites

No oil/fluid leaks at all. No malfunctions whatsoever apart from the brake disc problems that I think we are all having. the thing is one of the best looking cars on the road. No I dont work for Ford but I congratulate them on a superb car, best value I would think ever in Australia, MOTOR PCOTY, RACV best soprts sedan under $57K, WHEELS COTY, Did I mention I love this car!! It is extremely powerful, quiet, comfortable for 5 adults, and the fact there are 900 members of this site say's we have something special here. (should've been a used car salesman.) Guest xr6 turbo Guests Posted 13/04/03 10:28 PM Share Posted 13/04/03 10:28 PM I would have to agree with Dagabond,UNFARKINBELIAVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!I sold a '02 VU ss for the XR6 turbo and I KNOW that the XRT is far a superior vechicle than the Gen III.Just my 2 cents worth.
