Geeseman, it is obvious we have to agree to disagree. I see what you are saying but really. You are being abit hard on the game... None the less I and alot of people love it. So they must be doing something right.

V8 Supercars 2 is a fun game but very far from a simulator, I'm sorry. The speeds at which you corner at are sometimes abit extreme and like I said before shouldnt a simulator be close to the real thing? At Bathurst I can steer the V8 Supercar around it some 30seconds or more quicker then a real V8 Supercar can lap it in. My top speed down con rod is 335km/h way higher then actual Supercar. Dont play the V82 multicar crap etc. You know GT4 has alot more detail and features, I dont see no mirrors to see whats behind me until I push the rear view button and lose sight of everything happening in front of me etc... I love when playing V82 around the mountain and parts of the car dissapear into the road surface... great physics engine there... Wouldnt the front bumper snap off?

Every game has its downs, we all need to just enjoy whats offered and all hope the more racing and driving games coming to market helps push companies to make even better games. There is absolutley no market PS2 can no compete with Xbox in processor speed. maybe with Xbox giving Sony the wake up call the PS3 will really allow polyphony to go all out and other makers with PS3 and Xbox 2 games.

Eatv8 I think what Geeseman is trying to say is that the problems the game has (not damage) are the same problems that series followers and game critics have been complaining about since GT2 came out, which is the mainly the crap AI of computer controlled cars, I played V8SC2 and although I didnt like it you could at least race not just mosey around a track and learn the other cars racing lines, its more fun to challenge yourself to better your own times than it is to play the game through to the end the way its ment to. It seems every time a GT game is released all they do is make it prettier and add more content and completely ignore the factor that makes games fun and that's the gameplay, I think the PS2 hardware is more than capable of doing everything geeseman mentioned but it would have to sacrifice some of ther visual standard back to what GT3 was like, but as if anyone would really care, they would soon get used to it and be playing a better game.

My summary is, its crap to play properly, but fun to play with yourself

Going to buy it this arvo, Big W has it for $73. seems about the money.

I cant wait, I love GT3 and hope 4 is as good or better.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Good price 73/74 is right on ...

Eb sells em for 99.95 LOL we rip :spoton: but so far Ive matched without being asked anybody with a Ford Jumper., cap, shirt whatever, even on of the service guys from Westpoint ford gave me a handshake and bolted off to play it ...

I was setting up the dummy boxes today and Juiced is going to be released come May now, THQ has picked it up from Acclaim who went bankrupt last year sometime and they have done some nice work to it... I hope they keep the real world damage cause that has potential, I remeber playing demo once and stacked it and broke something and the NOS pressure went to crud and no boost and car kept pushing to the right when going straight.,. :w00t2::w00t2:

And when I though that was good enought I look at the new back and THERE IS A PICTURE OF A BA XR6 OR TYPHOON (HARD TO MAKE OUT) WITH BLITZ GEAR AND BREMBO AND ALL SO FREKKYYY SICKKKKK!

I nearly lost the plot .... :spoton::spoton: Yeah can try mods now on computer (cosmetic) before spraying LOLOL PC copy the pick looks like it

What I was trying to say in last post as I fumbled was that Juiced has the XR in it but you dont just drive it but you mod it too, full on skirts, boost, NOS :w00t2::w00t2:

What makes it so cool is we can all try out any cosmetic paint jobs and sticker work on hte game before we risk our paint ... SWEET !!!

Oh, see how much easier it is when you slow down. Juiced got a pretty good wrap in Hyper when they previewed it, as long as the car models look accurate and not like the did in ford racing 2.

It got released in the States on XBOX only before Acclaim went to hell ... but for us here in Australia its mid to late May...

Out on PS2, XBOX, GC, PC..... Pc will be the pick though ... the consoles are starting to show their age .

It got a good rap too because of the realistic damage part of it .... I remeber in a demo I played scraping the wall and after recovering it and heading down the road again it starts pulling to the left....

I like NFSU2 but it gets a little boring after a while when you clock it and my focus was pulling 250 around some corners, I grazed the wall accidently and it slowed me down to 200 only, Im thing WTF!!!! :spoton:

Plus is Juiced you get to race for pink slips and bet on drags something NFSU2 was going to do but then said NAH too hard ... How many times would I have won some hardware online if they had that in NFSU2... All theses guys with souped up Skylines and Monaros going WTF as my Focus blew pass em at 350 on NOS in 6th .... AHHHH :w00t2:

ok, I think I am gonna have to try get it on PC... So not on PC in states yet. Only Xbox... Is it suppose to be a simulator or arcade?

Did anyone here ever play Street Rod and Street Rod II? Those were fun games... I believe early to mid 90's they were around on PC...
