These cars must have been dynoed on dynowogs dyno or something, but it was fairly dissapointing to see.

oh oh, here we go again.

No no, just a stab at the inaccuracies (sp?) of the game.

If you like the GT series then yes.

It is a great game, but it is very similar to GT3.

I just hope they bring back Red Rock racetrack, I have not found it yet

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Love the GT series but sometimes the gaming evolution goes backwards. eg Flight simulator 2004 is a backwards step to 2002..

Looks like I'm going shoppping :pinch:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

What makes you say its gone backwards? Being a student pilot, from my point of view its a big improvment. The aerodynamic forces have been improved. The ILS systems using the localizer approach have been improved dramaticly. Stalling Recovery is more realistic. CLouds are more realistic. I guess this is a T forum its off topic, but just wondering what makes u think its gone backwards? ( not trying to start a fs debate...just want to know)

Sorry I have to jump in here boys ....

I work for EB games :pinch: .... I must say it has been an absolute miracle that they managed to get GT4 this time around I had to call up and notify customers 2 or three times when they kept pushing it back ....

They had one very major and one very minor issue which they have sort of resolved .....

The one they couldnt fix was the Net Play ... hence why it would support over Broadband, and this was supposed to be their crowning jewel as Xbox's Forza Motorsport will have one very very nice multi player portion on Live! which annihalates Sony online ... it is the main reason it kept getting put back ....

They have told us that they will release a 2nd disk to it that will give it net play in the future when they sort it out but with Metal Gear Solid 3 out next week cant see it happening soon enough...

The second issue was load time on levels, they did some awesome track photorealistic work but had all sorts of hassles implementing into the game, on a couple of tracks it took almost 3 mins to load the start which was just rediculous .... (notice some tracks look better than others :ermm: ) they have been done in GT3 codework :pinch: still good but if you look at it sometimes it can be annoying ....

Apart from that no gripes with it ... in my store it has sold well over 200 copies since Thur morning when it went on sale, the best steering wheel for it if you guys are curious is the Logitech Driving Force Pro ... about 299 has Gt4 with it and has a manual shifter too which is kick arse .... or go the Logitech Driving Force at 199 or so ... just as good but no shifter ....

The best part about it all has been watching customers play on the tvs and challenging them and I am glad to say .... there are alot more people choosing the Phoon instead of the CV8 .... :ermm:

I bought my copy from eb yesterday and wen I played it I did not think that the colours of the graphics were as good as gt3. but then I got used to it and now I admit the graphics are very good especialyy considering it is an old ps2 :nono:

I thought that my phoon was fast at 12.6 quarter mile man I really need to get some more credits

my fav tracks of the new ones is nubugring that is just crazy with the foon.

my foon does not seem to understeer much cos I changed the driving aids the suspoension and the weight distribution.

oh yeah does anyone know wat that track in italy is called again cos it is another gooden :w00t2:

but I am getting annoyed at the power figures cos my foon has 540kw on the mods power graph yet when I finish a race and the black screen before the replay comes on it says 394 or something :w00t2:

Oh I just remebered we have had to trade in two PS2 so far that couldnt play GT4 at all ... both of them were 3000 models.... :nono:

And today someone had same issue with Ace Combat as well... so be careful because stooges like Big W and Kmart dont wanna refund you when you open it :w00t2:
