Hi fellas,

I have a SSS XR6T and just want to know your tips in getting the optimum take off from the lights. I usually just rev to around 2 grand with foot on brake and then just plant it with the transmission in Perf.

Any tips?, haven't lost any so far...

Keep up the good work, lean on it harder is the only way to improve, differing surfaces will require different revs for optimum traction.

What Scotty said, you should be able to rev it a bit higher than 2000rpm, fit a boost guage and practice some launches when the car is coming on boost. You might want to fit a trans cooler too.

If you have the brakes on while the accellerator is also on, doesn't that wear out the brakes?

Brakes wont wear out they are just holding the car still... it's your transmission that is going to suffer as all that power instead of being let go at the rears is converted to heat whilst you wind it up... whilst it's okay to have a bit of fun with it in stock form keep in mind constant abuse will no doubt cause issues. :thumbups:
