I have enjoyed reading your saga and sharing your pain...you deserve many long and rewarding times with your new toy. Sometimes when we want someting so badly and are made to wait, when it finally arrives we are disappointed (remember that blonde in Grade 7 ?? ) Clearly that is not the case with the "T". Maybe next year when the Sydney to Tassie ferry is up and running you can bring her down to stretch her legs on our fantastic Targa roads, and breathe our crisp clean "made for Turbo" air - that's gotta be worth a few extra kw's!! (The smoked salmon and chilled Tassie chardy aren't bad, either!!)Wouldn't be dead for quids....good luck mate!

Definitely the way to christen the "T" Ken-I put 1500k's on mine and then put 4000k's on a trip to Tasmania and then back up to Sydney via the coast roadHad a deadset hoot on TASSIES roads

After following the Targa from the far North for many years, I'm busting a gut to get there and sample the roads.Especially since following the exploites of the two T's in the last event and and now having one in the garage. It all sounds way to compelling......well just not too sure about the Tassie chardy!! happy to try it though and wash it down with plenty of Boag's or Cascade.CheersMackthe.... Mack, you are all welcome, anytime (we need the tourist $'s !!) Do yourself a favour though, and come down in time to catch Targa live in the flesh (normally in April)- it'll blow you away cheers,Timbo.
Guest Xr6Tas Guests Posted 02/08/03 01:10 AM Share Posted 02/08/03 01:10 AM Mack, you are all welcome, anytime (we need the tourist $'s !!) I second that invitation! The more Turbos I see driving around on Tassie roads the happier I am. You truly haven’t tested out the potential of your XR till you've done the West Coast to Hobart trip. Beautiful twisty roads the entire way, joined together with insanely long straights, awesome Tassie scenery, and not a cop in sight! I had the misfortune of driving a crappy work VY wagon (pure torture) back from the West Coast on Thursday afternoon, and I only saw 6 cars on the road the entire trip! (It’s a 3 and a half hour drive). Definitely taking the Turbo up for another run soon :D
