Guest Xr6Tas Guests Posted 05/05/03 09:47 AM Share Posted 05/05/03 09:47 AM Would there be any suggestions as to highlight drives etc? Make sure you go for a drive up the West Coast while in Tas. The road from Hobart to Queenstown is magic. If you cant make it up that way the East Coast roads (from Hobart to St Helens or vice versa) are just as fun. I speak to him about every 2-3 days, whether he likes it of not.I'm sick of being treated like an idiot by this moron. I realise that there is a long wait and that ford can only produce so many cars per month, yada, yada, yada ... I just want the truth.I still haven't got a SIDO and I understand why I missed the April builds. I'm not sure I understand why it looks like I'm going to miss the May build ... August he says! ARRRGGGHHH!!What this buffoon doesn't realise is, that there's a lot at stake here ... for him, e.g., 3 years worth of servicing, the purchase of another new car for my wife in October (Focus), possible finance through Ford for both cars, the purchase of a 290 boss at the end of the 3 year term for the XR6 T and its' finance.I spoke to ford direct and they are up-front, honest and very sympathetic. Attributes this bozo would do well to learn and employ!... am I too personally involved?, am I obsessing? am I lusting for sales guys nuggetts on a plate? YOU BET I AM. Hi mate,Have you told the guy you are dealing with all this, it may spark his attention?Ford dealers can be pretty difficult to get info from l have found, if he wont give you a SIDO its more than likley a bad sign of what you can expect. l would also suggest contacting Westpoint, and l have had good dealings with New Oak Ford in melbourne also.Good luck. My specs are similar to yours. I am also pissed of and I am under pressure fom my boss to get rid of my current car.:(

The first sign of frogsh*t and I'm outta there!I'm pretty sure I've already decided to look elsewhere from my wifes' car, and my decision to buy the GT in 3 years will largely depend on the Sevice experience I have.At this stage I'm even prepared to forego the $500 deposit and go to a dealer that I can trust. Not Happy, Ford!
