I have this option available through work but it looks really expensive to me and I here a few people on here lease cars.

The deal I was offered for an XR6T UTE with:

Leather trim / hard cover

rear spoiler

Window tint

Paint/ fabric/ vinyl guard

rev park sensor

total price:$38 234.56

plus servicing, insurance tyres etc.

total payments pre tax: $2028.40

residual payment: $11,384.55

over 60 months.

sounds pretty expensive doesnt it?

get rid of the servicing, that is Ford Credit I presume? Dont get servicing from Ford. Never Never.

Is that 2k a month?

Mine is a hire purchase residual around 13k. 56k purchase price with me puting up 2k. 54 month lease and $995 a month are my repayments. your figures dont add up

I was on the Mercedes web site last night and checked out what a CLK500 would cost per month. Well with $30000 desposit and 45% residual on a $150000 car came to $1760 per month.

So something is terribly wrong when a Ford Falcon costs more that a Merc.

BlackWrx.... I lease through SMB as part of my employment package (so we're talkign playing with pre and post tax $$ etc) but The only way I found I could make sense out of their numbers was to get a RRP for the vehicle, then compare that to everything they list.

I found for example their insurance allowance (if you arranged insurance with them and not just had them pay another company) was about $300p/a high. How many kms a year are you looking at running up?

Also consider ditching it within 3 yerars as the moment you go outside of the warranty period the numbers start a pretty steep incline.

CHP is the way to go, unless your doing big km's (I.e. 25k)

For me $56k purchase price, 60Months = $700PM, Can jump out at any time without fees.
