Best thing to do is decide what options you have and call every dealer in or around town. Trust me, you will see which dealers are fair dinkum or not. And don't be afraid to stretch the truth a little bit either.Space

I was laughing my ass off when the offered $17,000 for it. I could easily get about $30,000 for it and then they wondered why it was so funny. I considered trading in my S15 but I knew the dealers would give me a ridiculous price. I advertised my car for about 2 months before I sold it and during that period I had no time wasters. When you advertise, add the line "no time wasters". Also when they call you, ask them detailed questions about how they are going to pay etc, to filter out the tyre kickers. Good luck. Guest Senator Guests Posted 09/03/05 07:30 AM Share Posted 09/03/05 07:30 AM When selling privately, ensure you sight there drivers licence and take note of there address before any test drive. In addition make sure the photo on the licence is that of the person handing it to you. If you have any doubts, while holding the licence so they cant see it, ask them there date of birth and if they give you the same date of birth as appears on the licence, then ask them there age and star sign. This will do away with any fruadsters or dodgy ppl using someone elses drivers licence.
