Daz and I were numbers 19 & 20 to go on the dyno... we cracked the sads (a little ) when numbers 23 & 24 were lined up ready to go and no one told us :spit:

great to see Brian's beast  ... well worth the price of admission and we were wondering whether or not to go on the dyno cause it was getting late ...

bcl's did really well given the low readings on their dyno ... ran my stanger up first thing this morning and found the 60rwkw that went walkabout on Saturday afternoon .... the AFRs over 5000rpm were meant to have gone to the dogs but they were back to ~13 today .... a fair and appreciated call from the operator who showed me the figures on Saturday (<10) ... can only go by what is in front of you

estimate 600rwkw for bcl on a dynodynamics dyno .... awesome ... absolutely awesome

... felt it through the floor

I thought it was a great day. Best $40 I ever spent considering I won the edit! :spit:

I plan to try the edit out soon. But the map has to be custom so I need to find the time to get it done. I'll also be waiting till I get the clutch fix in from FPV.

The dyno figures were interesting for the day. I got 201rwkw stock in the Typhoon

and was pretty happy with that. I have been told to expect around 240-250kw with the custom map which sounds good too.

Was good to meet a few of you, and I hope to see you guys out again sometime soon.

Another MKII auto made 175... (I think it had done 7000)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

That was me. Mario said to apparently add 10kW correction to the dyno read 185kW which is what you should be getting for a stockie.

Hi mate,

Yeah, your's was real strong, and considering its auto as well!

As a result of Sat's show and tell, I went in to see Mario this afternoon and bought myself a CAPA box, loaded up the 10psi program and whoosh !!! I can actually hear the turbo whistle now hehe ! And wow, the pull in 1st and 2nd is amazing, I think I'm getting addicted !!! Many thanx Mario, the Edit is the best bang for your buck, will go back in a few weeks and get it dyno'ed once the car's been run in a bit more ...

I got 201rwkw stock in the Typhoon

Aaron

I would have thought that's pretty low

Some stock T's only pulled 160rwkw on a very conservative Dyno. 201 is good.

And finally.... will most definately get flammed here but I think BCL's car saw too much time through out the day IMO. I think at one stage it sat on the dyno for about an hour! It was interesting to see and full credit to him and Nizpro.
As an organiser, I totally agree with you Dave. I felt that a little bit too much liberty was taken on Simon's part. Granted, it was great that he brought the vehicle down, however in doing so it was seemingly expected that he could run it whenever and for however much time desired.

Firstly, let me offer my apologies for the "time taken" by BCL's car. If you want to flame/bag someone, then lay the blame on ME. Unforeseen circumstances resulted in longer than expected dyno time. I organised for this car to be present at the dyno day. I called Simon/Dave @ Nizpro several times during the week to see how things were progressing on BCL's car and to ensure they didn't forget the day. Even when I was told that the exhaust had just been fitted and they didn't have the opportunity to dyno the car, I still insisted it should be there. With the drive train breakages during the week they had to back timing and boost out to ensure it didn't break, and being conservative, it effected top end power. So to ensure everyone would be suitably happy and ensure it re-validated the claimed power figures from the car, Simon had to go back to the workshop and get the laptop to make a few changes. Both Simon and Dave took time out of their weekend to satisfy everyone’s curiosity, and I even got bagged by Simon’s other half !!! (as he promised he’d be home by noon). So there you have it. But I’m sure you all agree, BCL’s dyno run(s) were worth the wait.

I’ll use the old adage “Due to unforeseen technical difficulties we are unable to bring you the scheduled program. Apologies for any inconvenience caused…..”

Finally my personal thanks to Simon and Dave from Nizpro for putting in the effort.

Cheers

Robin.
