I think I won the dyno day :w00t2:

Thanks to Mario and Greg for a fantastic event, well organised and executed.

Marios dyno seemed to be reading low which he acknowledged as everyone was saying the same thing. We worked out it was approx 30rwkw (10%) down.

This does not matter thought as everyone was measured equally so it was a great event.

I ran up 281rwkw which I think I just piped Dave(pashen) sorry mate! :spoton:

Thanks to Craig and Deano for not turning up, as if they did I would have walked straight out the door. :ermm:

My problem was confirmed with boost leak coming from the turbo as well as the timing being slightly too advanced at the top end as I havd knocking, so two things I need to get fixed up, nothing serious just little bugs you encounter in the modding game.

There was plenty of footage taken and photos, so I am sure that they will make there way onto here. There is also alot of stuff that will be posted on autotechniques forum.

Thanks again guys :ermm:

Awesome day...great meeting many of you.  The dyno was real low, that's true.

Sorry JB, but my read was 282rwkw...lol

So how did the big boys go?

DOH!!!!! :w00t2:

Hmm shoud have run my race map hey? :spoton:

Um Brians just scared the :ermm: out of me around 500rwkw, but there is more there, and harrop ran up there Monaro at the end which pulled 310rwkw with fire and flames out the back, a serious unit.

Hey everyone.

Thanks for attending, it was a great day, if not for some slow movement around the dyno at times.

Indeed it is a bit of a shame that it dragged on a little as Mario ended up placing his own ute on the dyno for a PB of 387 rwkw - which aint bad for a dead stock turbocharger - but of course with an engine with stronger internals, a Stage 2 Cobra kit and his own custom edit tune! Makes the power at 16 psi, and it's obvious that the turbo is completely finished at this power.

A little bit of turbo modification - which Mario plans - and a good 450 rwkw is on the cards.

Not quite up to Brian's standards, but for a daily driver with limited mods, pretty darn good.

Hey, it was great to meet so many Ford lovers, JB I loved your rims!

Anyway, once again thanks to everyone for turning up and Mario and I hope that everyone enjoyed the day.

P.S. As mentioned at the start of the day, the dyno readings Mario comes up with are always lower than just about every other dyno you'd care to name - which only goes to suggest that 387 at the treads aint too shabby!

That most of the new stock XR6t's (notably the Mk 1's) produced around the 160+ mark and the Mk 11's around another 15 kw was a bit of a revelation, what's more the owners who drive their cars like they stole them also seemed to make the best power having really run in their engines.

A quality custom edit will surely wake the stockers up for those who are interested, remembering that (and yes this is blatant advertising) Mario has arguably more edit experience than anyone in the country being the Australian distributor and developer of the LS1 tuning package, VCM Suite. So if a quality custom tune is requried, I think you know what I am saying.

Cheers all.

Thank's to the guy's and gal's at Autotechnique and fredwho for organising it top day guy's. :censored:

Dont ask me but I have a readout here that say's 198kw's from a dead stock T with 70,000 odd clicks under it's belt :hrmm: , so I'm one happy boofhead.

The reaout's were up and down but who am I to argue.:k24t:

After seeing Brian's 'thing' on the dyno and having the ground beneath your feet physically rumbling it all pail's in comparison anyways..... :gooff:

Great to finally meet you Mario :censored: Well done on the organisation! Thouroughly enjoyed the day. Couldn't get over Mario's work under his bonnet!! JB knew the words that came out of my mouth :gooff: then to see and hear Brian's... :k24t::hrmm: What an awesome car.

Mine ran 207RWKW, but is running very lean, so therefore will need to get the bigger injectors asap :bomb:

Great to see alot of old faces
