Guest clogz Guests Posted 11/04/05 12:49 PM Share Posted 11/04/05 12:49 PM How many kilometres should a 6T have done before it's *safe* to go on a dyno? Is there a minimum before it's safely run in for this kind of thing?clogz
Guest fredwho Guests Posted 11/04/05 12:53 PM Share Posted 11/04/05 12:53 PM I'm sure everyone will have an opinion on this, however my own thought is that as long the engine has run say 2-3000 clicks, then it should be happy with 6000rpm.That's my take.Mind you, and I've seen this heaps, when a workshop (tuner) is given a brand new vehicle to fit extractors, exhaust and edit the computer, the workshop people will put it through its paces even though it has virtually zero kaps. Ultimately I don't think it's as critical these days as it once was.

Also What time should I turn up?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Just to reiterate an earlier post, the day starts at 9.00am. So you can either all get their early and indulge in watching, stirring and flinging mud at mates cars that don't produce as much power as yours, or maybe wait until 11.00 or whatever. Mind you, if everyone waits until 11.00, it won't be good!REMEMBER - ONLY those who pre-enter are eligable for the free CAPA box. And someone will win it on the day!!!Come on down folks, get those entries in!
