Very impessive times, must be an animal to ride in. Does anyone know if there are any changes in minimum equipment for a ute once it brakes into the 10 sec bracket. Like with the sedan a roll cage and a few other things have to be added. This is why the orange APS sedan hasn't been raced again at the strip.

Also what fuel was it running? Street legal or the stuff that would get the book thrown at you?

To quote Simon, from the Nizpro Forum:

"We are using Martini 101 unleaded. Its CAMS, FIA and 100% street legal. It is also the fuel that is used at the Expensive Daewoo ford shows."

For those that don't know, the Ford vs Expensive Daewoo is being renamed the AME (Australian Motoring Expo ref www.ameshow.com.au).

To quote this web site:"Official Fuel Supply Martini Racing will be the official fuel suppliers to the AME Pacemaker Headers Horsepower Championship with their M102 octane legal unleaded fuel. As well as Martini you will be able to use BP Ultimate 98, Caltex Vortex 98, Mobil Synergy 8000 and Shell Optimax… All 5 Fuels can be used in all classes."

I think Simon should have said M102.

ref www.sarallysport.com/martini_files/page0002.htm for a description of the fuel.

l obtained permission to post this slip from the Nizpro website.

Not too shabby, with worn Nittos, and transmission problems.

Congratulatiuons to Nizpro for an awesome effort!

That is just sensational. We have a new fastest T.

I have a feeling the mph will move up atleast 4-5 by the end of the year and the ET drop to mid 10's. Bring it on.

Things may change very quickly. You've also got a few privateers like Jeff and Adam, who'll post good times,as well as APS and RDP. Nizpro may put their 1200HP motor in the Ute. As usual, the key challenge remains in getting a transmission to hold together.

Don't forget yourself there Brian. I know you are not setting your car up to run on the strip, but if you can find some traction I am sure a fast time would be the result.
