that's a excellent time for a full street trim and street tyres car, look at the VL's they only run 10's with slicks correct me if I am wrong, and the vl's weight way less.

We have been blessed with a 4LTR Turbo engine from ford and withing a year they were into the 10's, which took the vl 10yrs to get into the 10's this says alot about the Xr6 Turbo, defenately the best, that's why I just cant get enough of this. Considering the weight of the xr6 turbo we have very strong engines.

well done guys.

Thanks

When the VL's first arrived on the scene the technology back then wasnt as advanced and the same for the workshops that modified them.

that's right, tonight Simon from Nizpro took the work ute out again after a few tweaks with the Edit, and peeled off a string of 11.1 second passes at over 130mph. The best being 130.9mph. Still on radial tyres, still on stock converter, still a daily driver with a Ford 4 speed auto transmission.

Awesome work, and great to see a 'T' into the 130s after all this time :)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

fantastic results simon

the edit is a great tool but again its the tuner that brings out great results.

times are exciting when you can tune a factory car with little mods and street slicks

run close to 10 s and let the wife take it to pick up a couch the next day.

cold night in adelaide tonight and expecting some more great results from all the ba range out there tonight running the edit especially the turbos.

great benchmark simon for all to follow.

Great effort, makes things very exciting. :kissmy:

And the best thing of it all is it does not matter who achieved it, the fact is it's a T and we are getting quicker and quicker!!!! :kissmy:

I know of vl's that run low 9's in street trim on slicks with 148mph that's along way away from an 11 or even a 10 the faster you go the harder it gets

There is also vl's that run high to mid 8's not in street trim though , but the xr6 is getting there :kissmy:

And it looked every bit it as quick to. It appeared to me that the ute didn't launch off the line all that hard, but after about 20-30m the thing just took off. Now I know why it's got those huge brakes on it!
