MYF6 Donating Members 172 Member For: 20y 2m 9d Gender: Male Location: Earth, I think? Posted 03/03/05 09:04 PM Share Posted 03/03/05 09:04 PM My F6 ran 4psi and 180rwkw on its first dyno run. Wasn't I happy with that when they say its supposed to have 9psi! Now she runs 14psi and 275rwkw. The std T's and F6's seem to have big variations in boost pressure for some reason. Bloody strange when you think boost is controlled by the computer and the computers are all the same so should not have any difference from one car to another. You may see it hit 5/5/6psi early in the rpm range.Your rwkw figure is normalA lot of tuners supply only their peak power boost figure which is a little misleading. Peak power boost is usually 2-3psi lower than peak boost itself going by what I have seen.

loaded Member 77 Member For: 21y 13d Location: sydney Posted 04/03/05 09:04 AM Share Posted 04/03/05 09:04 AM Blonk,Did Ford do your 3,000km service ?I have heard that they "release" more power after the 3k km run in period through the WDS. Also my car only did 186 in shoot6 on a DD dyno, but I was having all sorts of surging problems that Ford could not fix. My car was running between 5-6psi.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>This theory sounds like it's on the money. Here are my 2 dyno runs. The first was with just under 3,000kms on the clock prior to the first service and the second was with about 16,000kms on the clock. What really strikes me is the difference in the A/F ratios after the 3k service.Big power difference.Yes the car is completely standard.
