I don't have mine yet, but I've been thinking about the lack of a boost gauge and temperature monitoring. I've been thinking of adding these gauges.

As this thread develops, does anyone know the practicality of installing a pyrometer gauge to monitor exhaust gas temp? Auto meter and VDO have pyrometer gauges. Is this the best way to monitor turbo temp or more importantly, cool down?

Nope, no problems.

3 year/100000km warranty so forget about it IMO.

A boost gauge would be interesting just to see exactly what is going on, but l wouldnt bother with any temp gauge/pyrometer for the turbo.

Somebodies been reading the Herald Sun DRIVE section where theres a letter form a guy who read about the above mentioned problem in WHEELS when they first test drove the T. (at a guess :D )

This topic has been covered here and there was a fix for the problem from Ford for the earlier release vehicles and was fixed for Wheels at the prooving ground where they were driving it if I'm not mistaken.

That over heating prob was an oil over temp witch th T's shutdown for. Ford also said that this car was a field evaluation car and had been played with by the techs and might have had a sensor problem. Still better a shut down than a blow up I say!!
