THERE IS NO NEED TO YELL JUST BECAUSE YOUR UNCLEAR QUESTION IS NOT AS INNOCENT AS IT SEEMS!!!

To say you have been here for 5 minutes I sense that your are here to provoke and show a component of arrogance, hence why I would suggest you have not had many reply to your post.

Do a search there has been more than enough debate on this topic, not only from a tuner perspective but also product persepctive.

If you are completely genuine and have no alterior motive,

my alterior motive is promoting a tool that needs some calrification and genuine debate.

our take on it is that any edit , be it out now or/if in the future cannot tune the pcm any differently or better.

the product is the tuner not the tool used (at the moment the fordedit)

your tune will only be as good as your tuner.

any tool that can tune the pcm directly is always going to tune it to its optimum and correctly(depending on tuner)

any tool that tricks the tune to the pcm is now oudated ( great while it was all we had)

in regards to dealerships tracing the fordedit we need to be honest with them regardless if they can or cant now or in the future.

with live data logging any edit tool can tune your car to its optimum(depending on tuner)

Hey Dave,

So (correct me if I'm wrong), you're saying

1. It's the tuner, not whether the edit is made by SCT or APS; and

2. Edit technologies have made signal benders redundant?

Point 1 is pretty much a given around here, while point 2 is still somewhat debated... the fastest T on this forum currently runs a Xede, although that may change shortly.

hi grant

our experiance so far with the edit is that on the same vehicle after removing the piggyback(whatever brand) we are able to tune more precisely and to that vehicles optimum using pcm editing.

the fastest street t is nizpro now with the ford edit which ran on sat night

and yes the edit is a edit it will come down to the tunner just like with the piggy backs that's why some cars may have been quicker than others it the same deal different product

Yes we all pretty much are aware of that. I am still trying to understand the point of this thread, other than advertising without having to pay?

I think all would agree with you, nometter what tuning product you are using it comes down to your tuner.

In relation to the edit more can be extracted with the same parametres set from the piggyback unit, this is derived from Cam and timing adjustments.

From what I have seen alot more power can be derived, not just by upping fuel and boost but develing more into the factory pcm restrictions.

CAN THE DEALERSHIP DETECT THE FORD EDIT

Apparently Ford DO KNOW the car has been flashed/Edited. Do not kid yourselves thinking that you can put the stock map back in the car and try to claim the car is stock if there are any warranty "issues" that could have been caused by a increase in power.

In what thread or who has proven this as far as I am aware they can only speculate on wether a car has been edited or not .

As far as I know for have no way of telling if your car has the edit :spoton:
