Hi All,

I just got told by a mate to sign up for Folding@home...It's some project thingy used to map different proteins and stuff, to help for future medical research or something...

Maybe people who know more can elaborate?

I also am doing the Climatepredicition which is pretty cool. It uses computer mapping of the climate over certain periods to help predicit climate changes and see if whats going on is 'outside the norm' (I spose).

AT the moment I can actually see that at 18:30, on the second of February 1812 (it should have been) around 18 degrees in Sydney, with pressure around 1013KiloPascals, it didn't rain, but there was a small depression in the Great Australian Bight with a bit of high level cloud! :msm: :o

Crazy COmplicated Shiznat!

CAn anyone else elaborate?

DOing my bit for the earth

Lumpy :k24t:

Yeh,

I just started folding about a month ago, I dont have much productivity cause I only run a single computer.

BUT if your gonna join, make sure you enter into team 24, that is the Overclockers Australia Team (best folding team in the world).

I run SETI and Climate Prediction at home. I started doing SETI about 3 yrs or so ago. My mate put me onto it and we raced our computers by overclocking them hahaha Doesn't matter what it is, its all about the speed :)

Maybe we should start our own XR6 Turbo team :)

I read the stats a few days ago, I think overclockers.com.au is still ahead! But [H]ardOCP team is gaining speed all the time.

However, Google and the people who havent joined a team are the greatest producers.

I did folding for a little while. Got a bit bored of it though.

I did SETI for a fair while, but I figured it was pretty pointless.

I run neither at the moment, too busy playing Warcraft and such.

That weather one sounds cool though! Will go check it out.
