Venom Xr6t Owners In Canberra.

I am stiill undecided between a blueprint and venom XR6T. I have seen a few blueprint in the flesh, but I haven't seen a venom. I have seen plenty of photos of both, but like everyone has mentioned, the pictures don't do the colour justice. I am leaning a little towards blueprint, although I like both. the missus is really set on the venom, but the only thing holding me back from the venom is that I associate red with Holden. although the venom looks great on a BA XR6.

if there are any owners from canberra (northside or gungahlin area) of either colour, but mostly of venom, would they mind if I could get a look at the machine. I will be at gungahlin marketplace this saturday around 10.45am if anyone is in the area. I drive a AU2 xr6 ute in Monsoon. or just pm me and we might be able to organise something. I really appreciate it......

otherwise.........does anyone have any insights or opinions into owning either of the colours???

p.s. the car is ordered but is a May build, so the dealer said I have til end of next week to change the colour if I wanted.

I do not have a Venom BA but a Phantom one.

I do offer some info re a Falcon with Venom though.

I had a AUII XR6Vct in Venom (2 years and 95,000km) (Sold it for the BA) The under coat on Venom is WHITE.. So any stone chips appear white on the bonnet. So they stand out like dogs balls.. Having said that. Just before I sold it I droped into my local dealer and picked up some touch up paint. ($13) From a few feet away you could not tell I have touched it up. (It had heaps! especialy on the front bumper!)

I have had the Phantom for 2 weeks and have noticed a stone chip already. The under coat on the Phantom is black so it is not so easy to spot. I have not get the Phantom touch up paint and am about to fix the chip.. I am not sure what colour the Bluprint undercoat is. I think it may be white also..?

Up to you. I have seen a few Venom BA XRs around they they do look great.. I think I would go the Blueprint before Venom. But then again I went the Phantom over Blueprint. Part of that decission what that I had already done the Red car thing and wantde something different..!!

I think that Blueprint and Blood Orange are going to end up being the most popular colors. (read that to mean commonly seen).

I like the red, but would worry about the white undercoat showing through on chips and scrathes.

Me...I ordered a white ute. I like the white on the ute body style, looks clean, easy to care for....at least as long as they don't use red undercoat on the white!

is the blueprint primer/undercoat white?? maybe it won't show on the blueprint as much as the red. have any blueprint owners noticed this yet?

I 2 live in gungahlin and also have a new BA XR6 NA ordered and it to is a May build. I went with the Blue print only because my last 3 cars were red, so it was time to change!

Go the Blueprint!!!!

PS Where did u buy yours from?

As far as I have seen there is only ONE Venom in Canberra and that belongs to Falchoon!

As far as undercoat I have at a guess it would be white.

I have a blueprint xr6t and the undercoat is white.

one chip I got stood out a bit but the touch up paint is good.

after all that remember it's your car, you are paying for it, so you pick the colour.
