spoonage Long Member Member 169 Member For: 19y 8m 27d Location: Canberra, ACT Posted 28/02/05 08:33 AM Share Posted 28/02/05 08:33 AM I got my $47,000 XR6T for $36,000 through fleet discount. Be careful with Envi because they're stopping Envi production in March. I got the last auto Envi with Premium sound in Australia that has been built (comes next Monday), so you'll be very lucky to get it in time. Works out awesome if your organisation has FBT exemption (I work for the Ambulance service), so it's fleet discount + FBT exempt + GST exempt + before income tax and I also get insurance for $900/year which would've been $3800 a year privately because I'm 19. Try $43K at the bare minimum.Oh yes you will 'cause I did. My total after tax cost for my new 2004 XR6T auto sedan was just a fraction over $40500 on a 12-month fully maintained finance lease. Considering that this included on-roads, insurance, servicing and 25000km of petrol, it made the outright cost of the car to be approx just over $36000. (And when I sold it, there's no GST to pay either).

He needs to look at ACT Government fleet pricing. Call Gregorys Ford in the City (Braddon) or John McGrath Ford in Philip (both in Canberra) and ask for the XR6T fleet pricing. It's $35000 for a base model fleet XR6T (no premium sound etc), guaranteed because I bought one.I got my $47,000 XR6T for $36,000 through fleet discount. Couldnt have been nicer people. Very obliging indeed. They used to also sell cars in Kew - I dont know if they still do. Worth you looking them up and giving them a call. The way my company gets cars is a little different as we buy them straight from the manufacturer not via a dealer or wholesaler. But we do pick them up at a dealer. I picked up my new car at City Ford. Wont do it next time. After a week when I washed it, it became apparent that it appeard the typical little nicks you may get when the car had been delivered had been touched up with nothing more than a standard black permanent texta, which doesnt look anything like paint. (And looks purplish after a wash or two). Edited 28/02/05 10:32 AM by mickq
