Hi Blackwrx. The 2 cars are totally different, with mods it depends on your finances as to how fast you want to go. The rex will always handle better than the T whilst the T will always cruise better. If you want t fast car for mainly driving in traffic get an auto T spend alittle get 260rwkw's and you'll be as happy as Larry.

If you're in Melbourne let me know and I'll take you for a spin.

Geea. :glad:

Sure Craig, take him for a spin in one the fastest Ts in the country, that's gonna help confuse the guy even more. Heres an idea, get Geea to sedatley give you a lift to the local ford dealer, take a spin in a stock T, then get Geea to show you what they can do.

Thanks for the offers! I am in Kalgoorlie WA the nearest ford dealer isnt far away but I dont like their service. I will more than likely be leasing as I can get a deal through my work.

Does the XR6 T ute have climate control and the coloured screen?

I also wanted the leather interior to be black with the stitching to be the same colour as the car but I have been told this is only available on the FPV's, does this sound correct?

bah that is total crap, theres 2 leather options on the XR's, one is standard leather, which is just black leather seats with red XR lettering on the seat.

the SPORTS leather is more expensive and has colored stiching of your choice, and little bumpy bits in the leather. which I personally think look tacky.

I went the basic leather in my ute and its great!

I am going to the ford dealer in the morning and going to get some brochures,  What about the climate control  and display system?

When I ordered my T almost 2 years ago (time flys when your having fun) the utes were not able to be fitted with the colour screen, and climate control wasnt an option in xr's back then, I dont know if its changed, but I would say climate control is a yes but with the luxury pack and the colour screen is still a no.

BCL, a member here, owns both WRXs and a XR6T. He put together quite a detailed comparison a while ago.

There is one major benefit of "T" over the "rex" family that is easily overlooked, that it that it is an infinately more livable car day to day. Sure, it can be jeckyl but it also has a hyde side and the two as a combo are rare. One is usually satisfying in one area and not the other.

Also, it does not "feel" as big and heavy as it is, especially compared to anything wearing a Lion badge on the front. :w00t2:
