Wonder if my Ultra poverty XF has this?Doesnt matter anyway...The leaking water from the Windscreen has most probably corroded the wires anyway..

What is this forums obsession with the blue light?Do all you guys has Nokia 8250s with little blue SMD Leds in the keypad or what?

I hate blue lights esp on cars mainly cos all the fools with BMW Xenon lights need to justify the $4000 option by blinding you at any chance they have :-( Though the Power Window switches somebody did were cool though,I ll give you that.

I had a 5 series BMW with the "xenon" $4000 lights. Dont dis em until you have driven at night with them. makes the Falcon lights very ordinary.......

yuo cant have enough light at night. Having just driven to Canberra from Brisbane overnight, more light is always better.

If you'd seen an XR dash at night, you'd understand B)

Though, it's more Violet Crumble purple than blue!

I found it easiest to remove the socket from the drivers side (very easy, just give it a quarter twist) and then insert the globe and put the whole lot back in.

The socket is best found by removibng the fuse cover and having a good look in the hinge area.

Excellent advice, thanks very much. I've just fitted my first ever modification (other than mobile phone kits) and it wasn't bad for $2.50! Totally agree with your recommendation to remove the whole globe assembley, there was NO WAY my fingers were going to fit through that hole. They don't believe in being generous with the wiring, either, do they?

Thanks guys, this is why I love the Internet. Now we just have to do the power window lights.

I was just wondering did everybody already have alight on the drivers side. I put a bulb into the passengers side but when I went over to the drivers side I noticed it already had one and it works.
