Guest StaggerLee Guests Posted 15/04/03 01:49 AM Share Posted 15/04/03 01:49 AM I have the sockets in my car and it's a March build with premium sound. Just one question though... Are the new lights hooked up to the doors so that when the doors open the lights are on and when the doors close the lights go off, or is there extra fiddling involved? The foot well lights run of the interior light system. Unlock the door / open door / press button on dash and up they come..! Just stuff em in and away you go! So unlock the car get the footwell lights (as well as the others) and lock the car after 20 secs all the lights fade including the footwell. The install is as simple as plug in the bulbs...richdave - Under the left of the glove box easy to find. The drivers side a little more difficult. Recomend a torch. Here is what I did. Remove the fuse panel cover (and I know you know where that is). The cover uses a hinge which has 3 prongs to the left and then a one to the rights (if I remember). Between the second and third hinges on the white plastic up behind the fuses. Look for the brown plug. It is behind and up but it's there..I can post a pic if you need one..edge

Do the BA Ghia's have those little (red?) courtesy lights at the rear edges or bottom of the doors like I think I've seen on some of the high spec AU's?If it is a Ghia loom and they do still have these lights, the connections should be there somewhere, even if the wires aren't in the door, at least a connector may be behind the dash? (Ghia only)Front Door Courtesy Lights (Ghia only)Also the Illuminated Power Window switches aren't SUPPOSED to be on XR'sI'm off down to the local dealer this weekend to search for a Ghia to check for these things, but perhaps someone can supply part numbers and prices for these newer pieces? I think they are factory on ghia's. And it can be put in afterwards by any "competent" dealer. (is there such a thing!.....only kidding!)
