The light sockets and wiring are only installed with the Premium Sound wiring loom I.e. if you have factory fitted Premium Sound, you should have the sockets.

If you don't have the sockets, you can probably get the sockets from an auto electrician and wire them up to the dome light. The dome light wiring goes up the drivers side A-pillar.

A bit of mucking around but it is feasible.

Good luck......

Looks better at night now.

Will it matter what sockets I use for the lights or is there a certain type that I need?

Cheers,

Pete

Here is the company website I ordered my LED globes from. I also did the interior lights as well, as there was a minimum fee for them to post out.

www.superbrightleds.com

It takes some sizing up and working out the different globes that you need, but all up an hour was all I needed.

I'm yet to see the positions of the globes, but do you find LED's are too directional with their light? or does the LED globe have a few pointing outwards to distribute the light more evenly?

if it is a single LED globe, just frost the globe with some sand paper, this enables some total internal reflection and disperses the light evenly :stirthepot:

He's right, we did it to my footwell leds, and they spray more light than just a beam. :3gears:

I got annoyed that all the interior lights were blue appart from the ring around the keyhole, so I took off the steering wheel column shroud and after a lot of fiddling around I placed some of the blue globe socks over the white (yellow) LED/globe that was stuck onto the circuit board.

The end result:

Then as usual I got bored and tried to be artistic in the garage :sleepystuff:
