Me again cuz I love talking to myself. Blue LED footwell lights just installed and they look awesome. How bads the drivers side one to get to. Nearly gave up until I went in upside down and took the whole holder out and then put the globe and holder in togetther.

Also theres 2 big 4 way connectors that have nothing connected to them. They sit loose amongst all the wires above the drivers side footwell lights but what are they for??

Has any one added wiring for the footwell lights in a car without the factory sockets in place?

I had CCFL neons in my last car (a TJ Magna) and am wanting to transplant it to my new XR6.  :D http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6534

Since neons require a steady 12V voltage, I expect I'll be able to remove the dome light fading by using a simple relay kit to sense for voltage on the dome light circuit.

Where's the easiest spot to tap the factory wiring for the dome lighting circuit?

Use a $5 supercheap auto power tested and stick it into different places in the back of the fuse panel and open and close the door, you will find it in no time. Then follow that line and tap into it. If gona have A LOT of lighting use a relay and run a line from battery thru firewall.

One of the connectors should be the AUX plug for mobile phones and the other is the AUX for the speakers.

This is where you plug the carkit / IPod plug and whatever elsy you want to run.

Agreed Iconic - took your lead and stuck some in mine - VERY nice touch.

Incidentally - was in Parramatta last Sunday night - had to laugh at four of the "boys" in a BM 320i - modded up so that when they stopped at the lights, about a dozen interior flouro's all turned on and lit up the inside of the car - and them in there black shirts and white caps - like daylight. They must have done 20 blockies - and timed it to get a red every time. In the end - everyone around us in the restaurant were p1ssn themselves laughing. Beats the schitte out of my foot well additions.
