Just check mine and they sure do Robbo :buttrock:

Drivers side is in the same place (under the fuse panel), but the passengers one is a little different. In my old BA it was under the glovebox but in the FG it is behind the glovebox. You have to release the top catch on the glovebox so that it drops down and the connector and socket are behind it. Looks like the light would shine down through a small hole in the plastic to iluminate the footwell area.

I am guessing it won't light up as much as the BA ones did on the passenger side as it only comes through a small hole in the plastic. I only had one spare bulb and I already installed it in the drivers side so I couldn't be arsed to pull it out and stick in the passengers side to check how it looks.

I will get some from the servo tomorrow... I think if I remember from my BA the 3W are a bit dull and you need 5W to work well.

Cheers,

Aaron

I have a BF mk2 ute with premium sound, dual zone climate control, leather pack, and no footwell illumination. Anyone know if theres a wiring loom you can connect into or is the footwell illumination built into the loom.

My T doesn't seem to have the globe socket so I was wondering if any one can tell me what colour wires are feeding into the back of the socket. I presume that the wire's are in the harness without the globe socket. If that is the case it is just the matter of ordering a socket from Ford and soldering it into position.

Thanks for your help.

Rob

for those who are interested, I installed some more lighting in my 05 bf xr6t ute with standard sound, the colour of the wires were:

green with yellow stripe and gray dots = hot/constant

black with blue stripe and gray dots = triger ( its not earthed still treat is as an cold/neg/earth)

mine were located behind drivers side kick panel

if you want to double check the colours that the cover off the dome light and you should be able to see the two.

Anyone tried extending the wire/bulb holder on the passengers side to get the bulb lower , allowing more light onto the footwell?

I disconnected the bulb holder from the dash by a half turn, then let the holder hang down behind the glove box. You could cable tie but mine just sits next to loom (you dont want it swinging)

Did it to both sides as I use 1W Blue Leds and the location didn't suit the spread of light from the LED...
