("T" Sedan March build).Make sure you use a 12v 3W globe. (As per the manual) For those having problems finding the socket. The passenger side one is behind the bottom of the glove box door. The socket it brown with gold colours contacts. The one in the drivers foot well is up behind the fuse box / panel. No need to remove the fuse cover as it is behind the fuse box. Get down a grovel.. For those guys that can not find hem in a sedan are your cars Utes or XR6 N/A?? Just wondering if there is a small difference between the "T" and the others. We will have Fairmont XR6 T's yet! Good luck..
Guest xr6 turbo Guests Posted 10/04/03 10:19 PM Share Posted 10/04/03 10:19 PM My T doesn't seem to have the globe socket so I was wondering if any one can tell me what colour wires are feeding into the back of the socket. I presume that the wire's are in the harness without the globe socket. If that is the case it is just the matter of ordering a socket from Ford and soldering it into position. Thanks for your help.Rob

Just wondering if there is a small difference between the "T" and the others. :o Mine is an early build (October) XR6 N/A Sedan and I have the sockets on both sides. As to not needing to remove the fuse box cover to see the drivers side socket - only if I was double jointed!

Guest deanclaxton Guests Posted 11/04/03 06:24 AM Share Posted 11/04/03 06:24 AM Is it possible you only get them with premium audio? Or auto trans? Both are standard Fairmont items.....Edit : looks like at least one member has them with the Manual trans - premium audio then?Maybe it is the build date afterall...
