The original accelarator pedal does not won't to come off?? Any tips would be appreciated. I have tried a screw driver from behind but nothing. The original accelarator pedal does not won't to come off?? Any tips would be appreciated. I have tried a screw driver from behind but nothing. force it down towards the floor. it is extremely tight, but once it "frees", it will come off quite easily.you will be worried about the amount of pressure required to remove it, I thought I was going to bend my accellerator! it really needs a large amount of force. I just grabbed the accell pedal (the plastic bit) and pushed it downwards. dont touch the steel accellerator pedal shaft itself.no screwdrivers are necessary.see how you go.........
