Geez that sounds expensive....

They will sell you the expensive one but not the cheap one, fat lot of good that is. If its nearly $2k for just the front calipers then its going to be expensive by the time you have the complete set. Would you need a different m/cylinder also?

I tried to get the pedals only 2 weeks ago from a FPV dealer in Newcastle & told that with out the vin & build number & a name that matched their database, then no way would I be getting them!

I ended up settling for some alloy covers from Auto1.

If things have changed then I'm interested in getting a set for a manual.

Would appreciate some info on your AP racing calipers, what size, where did you get it, was it worth the $ etc. I have been thinking about upgrading but was holding off to see if the bembos may became available

My AP Racing calipers are a 6 piston directional caliper, not sure exactly on dimensions, but they are huge. I bought them from a company just outside ACT, not entirely sure if they sell direct to the public. They costed me $2100 for 2! but they are nothing short of fantastic. Extremely well made, and very light. Pads are only $330, where the brembo pads are near $1000.

I havent fitted them as yet, have to save up some more money so I can buy the 2 piece rotors!!

Was quoted $5800 to completely do the front end in AP racing. This includes fixtures, fluid, hoses, the works.

Hope this helps.

Hi MS700,

Could you supply the part numbers for the Pedal covers. Thanks for the pricing details.

Cheers

I will supply part numbers once I am definite there is no restriction on the part being available freely over the counter.

I dont want a torrent of hate mail aimed at me because those part numbers are unavailable to everyday joe's!

*COUGH* FARK ME! Sounds a lot of $$. Are you planning to go racing? Seems like overkill if you aren't.

Falchoon,

It is alot of money, but what I have found in brake upgrade options available are either you either upgrade to the equiv of what ford are offering for around 2k or you go all out for around 5k.
