Ford are saying they will NOT sell FPV parts unless you can supply them with a VIN & build No.( meaning a GT or Pursuit vin & build) They are emphatic that no fpv parts are going to be sold to "enhance" either the XR6 or XR8! .. This is FACT

umm, actually I was just told...

looks like if u want to put gt bits on your xr, you cant, unless you find a corrupt spare parts dealer! and id say, fspd will be keeping a very close eye on gt part sales....

looks like we will have to wait until a gt is written off.... :tears:

Same policy Ford had for the T series cars. l had to order a replacement side skirt sticker for our TS50 and had to supply our VIN before Ford would release it to the dealer.

Of course, once Ford got caught with a lot of leftover bits the rules went out the window. Hence cars like the XR8 rebel with the TS wheels, and a LE XR6 with TE wheels.

Mondie, That was Tickford though! ( and at the end of their reign!)... From talking to people in the know... David Flint is ADAMANT about keeping the GT series on a higher pedastil... I suppose only time will tell?

I'm ordering a new bottom rear bar ( the one that removes to access the spare wheel).. & be interesting to see Fords requirements on "ID"?

I guess that's the beauty of my brother buying a pursuit ute.... I'll just use his VIN to get me some parts.

Actually.... I could always mark the price up a little if anyone's interested in purchasing some spare parts :D

It seems ford have "relaxed" the rule about ordering bits for GT's when u dont have a GT!!!

I ordered my GT pedals today!!!! will have them hopefully on wednesday!!!

they werent cheap though!

I didnt look at retail, but I think maybe at least 200 beer tickets!

u get both, accellerator and brake (I didnt look at manual)

can get part #'s and prices if anybody is still interested. :puke:

Hi Mick,

Does that mean you can get your hands on some GT Brembos without hassle?

l wonder what they would cost (probably as much as a new Festiva) :puke:

hey mondie!

something strange is happening with the brembo's, havent quite figured it out yet. R/H front caliper is priced at $1400 list, L/H front caliper is $440 list! R/H is available, L/H is on sales stop! :puke:

I have purchased some AP Racing calipers for the front, still debating what to do......

By the time I put ap racing all round the car, I could probably buy a new XT!
