Hope this helps, I have done it to mine last week as have some othersScotty Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/15863-trans-oil-cooler/page/2/#findComment-224733 Share on other sites

Posted 27/02/05 04:57 AM Share Posted 27/02/05 04:57 AM Just checked my May 04 T.... auto trans cooler is via the radiator (do you reckon that would heat it up or cool it down?? Anyone know the temp gradient differential from one to the other?), with power steering cooler in front of the radiator above the intercooler. So - with the general concensus being a cooler is a must with anything that's even mildly warmed - what are the options? The guys I spoke to at Ford last week gave me the almost perfect blank look.... ..... so after market? And who from? Posted 27/02/05 07:42 AM Share Posted 27/02/05 07:42 AM OK - so Ken - you're saying that there IS an aftermarket solution that will slot in, supplied firstly from the lower line going to the radiator (from the trans...), then to that port through the radiator and return....? My understanding was that the radiator mounted “heat exchanger” (notice I didn’t say cooler) is more of an equalizer than anything – brings the tranny up to temp faster and then helps cool it down when the fun starts.Have I got the tit by the bull? And in just typing that I think I’ve got new names for Scotty and Ian; Torque & Friction! Not Trent.
