A new auto box may be just enough to convince me into another T next year.

Any info on it being a 5 or 6 speed?

it would be nice if it was a 6 speed, as long as its able to take some power gains without pooping itself it would be good. Also would a 4 speed auto to 5/6 speed auto be as easy as changeing a 5 speed manual to a 6 speed manual, or is there a whole other list of things in the way.

Bring out the GTHO

They definitely need to bring out the GTHO, and not limit its power output like the poor old GT and Typhoon, at least let it have a decent run against the HSV models.

a decent run..... it needs to make those things look like corrollas, if ford were to produce a GTHO I would expect them to do it properly, and by that I mean nothing less than a 350kw supercharged v8 with all the quality and sex appeal a car wearing the GTHO badge deserves, this wouldnt be a cheap car and I dont think the ford buying public would mind if the GTHO was priced around the 100k mark, as long as it delivers what it should.

add 50kw. I think to stand out it needs to follow the philosophy of the m3 csl. lightweight, stripped out. 400kw. shaker. pumped guards with wider track. mean body kit & wheels. steering wheel unique to that car. racing bucket seats.

another 2 options open for discussion would be 1) AWD 2) coupe only

im not sure of this, but I read the main reason the 427 was scrapped, was because the adr (aus design rules) found the car was sufficiently modified from the standard Late model camira platform (racing style double a-arm suspension, 7.0ltr engine, etc) that it had to completely undergo re-crash testing. meaning hsv had to crash test (destroy) 15 (I think) 427s which they had not budgeted for. and beacuse they had already set the price, they werent going to make any money out if it.

but making it AWD would need to see it undergo the same ADR compliance again, that would be a significant enough change in itself, I dont think it needs the wide body style, but definatley stripped down light weight and lots of power, I might have only suggested another 50kw, but imagine the differecne in torque with a blower on the ford DOHC v8. :blush:

yay lets get an awd ba so it will get even heavier and ruin the fun :spoton: I really do not know why some of yoiu guys are so set on seeing an awd ba . I think you have this illusion that it will make it faster but just look at the coupe 4 270 kw and its far slower than a 235kw monaro :pooh:

so I should hang on till the end of the year to upgrade, so is the upgrade in the pipeline or is it for sure cause I want to upgrade now but will hold off if it is for sure

another hint about copperhead.......

when you look at the radical change that orion will bring (very euro/aussie muscle) copperhead has to build the bridge between BA and orion, this is exactly why we saw a weird change in vy2 to Vz, eg flutes in the guards and bigger front air intakes, its all just conditioning the market to get ready for the next big change, (which is huge)
