Is it possible to just swap the red LED from an aftermarket car alarm for a blue one? Is the current too high at all?? Or can I just swap one straight in?Keen to have a matching blue LED for the alarm warning light.TIA for any assistance.

The blue ones I used in the switches were 20mA at 3.5V, if that helps. You could always check the voltage with a digital meter to be safe. You may want to include a resistor anyway, as the blues one are quite bright.
