When I get my hands on my car I will install using surface mount devices. (6x super bright blue surface mount LEDS costs about $15)Surface mount devices requires someone expireienced with soldering but will be easier to install as all that will be required is to solder them into position. And to cam, yes they accept surface mount LEDs and resistors. To make it look good use two per switch, I used one and it looked ok but one side was always a little dim. The single switches area sinch. But the drivers control is a little hard to surface mount without diassembling it or a very good knowledge of electronics. I am posting some pics today of the drivers switch and single switches. Hope this helps anyone trying to do this mod.

Remember no more than about 260 degrees C for no longer than 5 seconds on the LEDs or you'll be back for more.

Guest xr6 turbo Guests Posted 14/04/03 06:01 AM Share Posted 14/04/03 06:01 AM Hi NT TURBO,Unfortunately I don't. The XRT was a ex demo with 3,000k's on it so I didn't get the luxury to add the premium sound. I priced it through Ford's spare parts and will cost me $3,200 trade, money that can be spent elsewhere. I'm wondering if that may make it difficult for me in any future mods.Rob
