The SMD resistors I have are from Jaycar Part No. KK2060. This is a nice plastic box with 50 of each of 72 values from 0R0 to 10M.

The SMD LEDs are also from Jaycar, they are Part no ZD2020. They come in stips of 6 LEDs - so you will need 3 packs and will have 4 left over when finished.

One other thing, unless you already have suitable tweesers (very fine point, anti static, non magnetic) then you should get Jaycar Part no TS1754 (SMD Tweesers).

These tweesers are shown in the SMD photos I posted yesterday.

Cam good to see all woks fine. I was sweating for a while I had put you crook. The fairmont switches light up white and would cost alot more than the home done way. And to top it off the single switches are more expensivce than the drivers swtich, go figure. I think the Aussie price is $150 drivers $175 single. Where its mostlikely $80 done yourself. And Potai if you find SM LED's let me know where from as I have to redo my drivers switch due to the auto window failing. Warrenty job but Metro will just supply the switch and let me mod it myself.

Staggerlee its not hard mate as long as you are carefull and follow either NT Turbos tech sheet for non premium sound or mine for Premium sound you should be right. Now that others have done it we know that we are correct so just go line by line from the sheet and waaalaaaaa blue lights.

As you are required to alter the original circuit slightly, I think the SMD's will quite difficult to fit to non premium sound window switches??

Your probably right

Alter the circuit abit? If done right NT it should fit right to the points on the board designed to have surface mounted LED. The only diff with non premium and premium sound seems only to be the polarity. Follow my mount points on the drivers switch and it should be sweet. Plus the SMD should work properly on the top left drivers switch which is designed to be mounted under the contact rockers. Will let you know when I have done mine.

K!W!, I TRIED THAT!!!, trust me the way I did it was the only way it would work as +pos in to +pos at the end of the circuit doesn't give a potential difference. My last post was a note for those without premium sound contemplating it. (You have a -neg pin in, yeah. The rest of my switch wiring is the same I think)
