K1W1 & NT TURBO> would either of you like to make up a tech write up to cover the installation of LEDs in the switches of both the premium sound equipped cars and non-premium sound cars?

After reading your posting and viewing the photos I also want the mod!

Your pictures K1W1 look like the resistor is actually on the board and not the leg of the LED, is this correct? Looks very neat!

Yes XR6na they are. I origanally had them off the board and only one LED, but I found it hard to get even light between the arrows. So I looked at the board and found how Ford would had done it. Single switches were easy, but the main drivers switch required me to remove the board to do this, and I wouldn't recommend it on my worst emeny. I was hoping from my pics that people could see where to soldier, but my camera can't get that close up. Also as you my have read the premium and Lo series seem to be different. But other than that I would be happy to make a diagram up. Just let us know what you have and between me an NT I'm sure we could sort you out. :innocent:

Thanks guys, I have the premium version.

I took a look at one of my single switches to get a bit of an idea.

A couple of questions after my first look:

- What resistor did you use for the single switches when using two LEDs?

- did you have to drill holes to use non-surface mount components?

- is it worth using surface mount components?

I would greatly appreciate a diagram K1W1.
