If you have trouble I'll post what I did. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/1583-blue-window-switches/page/6/#findComment-17360 Share on other sites

Just wondering if its only the polarity that is differant. I still have to laugh though, You can't buy a XR6T in NZ without premium sound, its standard. About time we get the better of the Aussies LOL. Our GT's come out with better specs to. Not alot more but more. And how did you go with the leaky capacitor? Guest xr6 turbo Guests Posted 14/04/03 08:23 AM Share Posted 14/04/03 08:23 AM NT TURBO,Because I don't have Premium sound it looks like I'll be going through the same hair-wrenching problems as you did. If you could post any info on what you did to overcome these problems it would be greatly appreciated.Regards Rob. Guest xr6 turbo Guests Posted 14/04/03 08:29 AM Share Posted 14/04/03 08:29 AM XR6TK1W1, NT TURBO, just wondering what type of soldering irons you guys use? I've got a small Weller but it does not have a variable heating range which I think, would be handy doing this mod. Just watch the heat. you can see the legs of the LED's heat up as you do it. Just lay the soldier first and heat the leg as it goes into the soldier. Try to do it in one go to stop the risk of a dry joint. Good luck :D hang in there you'll get it!! :lol:P.S. Tinker at your own risk!!
