From the info posted here (I dont have my T for a couple more weeks) it would seem that the boards are designed to accept surface mount LEDs and surface mount resistors.

I have bought a pack of super bright blue surface mount LEDs from Jaycar and I have a full selection of surface mount resistors already. When I get my hands on my car I will install using surface mount devices. (6x super bright blue surface mount LEDS costs about $15)

Surface mount devices requires someone expireienced with soldering but will be easier to install as all that will be required is to solder them into position.

Don't laugh :laughtcont: but the red one is just the original lamp and its been painted with red enamel (nail polish!!), but this didn't work for the blue so I replaced the lamp with a blue LED and resistor, maybe I should have used a red LED as well  , oh well it works!!

Good job NT! Looks great. And to cam, yes they accept surface mount LEDs and resistors. To make it look good use two per switch, I used one and it looked ok but one side was always a little dim. The single switches area sinch. But the drivers control is a little hard to surface mount without diassembling it or a very good knowledge of electronics. I am posting some pics today of the drivers switch and single switches. Hope this helps anyone trying to do this mod.

Single switch, not a good pic but I think you can get the idea. Remember no more than about 260 degrees C for no longer than 5 seconds on the LEDs or you'll be back for more.

Hi NT TURBO,

Unfortunately I don't. The XRT was a ex demo with 3,000k's on it so I didn't get the luxury to add the premium sound. I priced it through Ford's spare parts and will cost me $3,200 trade, money that can be spent elsewhere. I'm wondering if that may make it difficult for me in any future mods.

Rob :)
