Its the Neg from memory. If you install the pin to the blue wire with the red stripe ( second from the top on the left ). I think the proper way that ford does it is to soldier the cathode to the left squre at the top and the anode to the right side then install the resistor on the block on the right side , and the other diode with the cathode on the right and the anode on the right. would be better to use two LEDs I onle used one but it think I will put in two. You can see how it goes if you follow the printed circuit board. Wish I saw this earlier!!! Check attachment but excuse the poor drawing.

I like the drawings, that's what I thought about how ford does it, but my park feed appears to be a pos

wtf??? I got it working but I've got anode to spare pin and cathode to lowest right looking at your drawing.

going to have another look today

If you follow the Ford method as per your diagrams....will this resolve the problem you described in your original post of some sort of backfeed that results in your fog lights staying on ????

I have just done it the ford way and it looks awesome!!! When I tried it the other way around it didn't work for me. According to the fords diagram I have it the right way but if yours works and dosen't cause a back feed let me know and I will reverse mine. The differance between the fairmont and the XR is a diode at the fuse box. I am awaiting the ford dealer to let me know which wire this is ( I know it's a blue with white stripe but not sure which one ).

I might be wrong but I believe premium sound and fairmont wiring have something in common. Mine has neither and seems to not work as you suggest. After much checking the only way it works on mine is as I said Pos to the spare pin and neg to the lowest right on your drawings haven't had any feedback probs but I've only done the front pass. Diodes are hard to get here. Doing some more today.

I double checked and yes mine only goes with neg to the pin and pos to the supply from the window. I have the fairmont or HI series diagram here if you would like to see. Note the diode C-385, this is what I appear to need to install to stop a back feed. Have updated all switches to the ford way of doing it and it looks better although the drivers door switch was a nightmare and if you are not offay with PC boards don't attempt. It was damm near imposible to get apart and together again. You may be right about your car and premium sound. And if it works do it. Hope all goes well and if you need anymore advice just ask im happy to help.
